Laura's life-long love of Johann Sebastian Bach's music inspired her to study with Rosalyn Tureck at her Bach Research Institute in Oxford, England. The end results, critical performance editions for harp of the complete Lute Suites by Bach, became her doctoral dissertation at the University of Michigan and will be published by Gotham Harp Publishing in June 2012. She will be featured at the American Harp Society's 2012 Conference in New York City, performing and giving a master class on Bach's Lute Suites. She also gave a lecture-recital on this topic at the World Harp Congress in Prague, Czech Republic, in 1999.
Laura has had the honor of performing at numerous weddings and special events throughout the tri-state area during the last twenty years. Her passion, experience and beautiful gold harp always add a memorable, elegant touch. After nearly seven years of performing during tea-time at the Ritz-Carlton Central Park, she is an expert at tailoring repertoire to the tastes of diverse audiences.
Laura teaches privately and as an adjunct harp instructor at Hunter College in Manhattan. Her most recent article, "Continuing Marcel Grandjany's Legacy with Susan Jolles," appeared in the American Harp Journal's Winter 2011 issue. Her previous article about Maurice Ravel's Introduction and Allegro was published by the World Harp Congress Review and the American Harp Journal.
